Postdoc position available

The Microwave Research Lab (MWLab) at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher for research in microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (IC) and systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Postdoc is expected to conduct high quality research tasks, which entails:

– Design, simulate and evaluate microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (from baseband up to 100 GHz). Design areas will primarily encompass challenging millimeter-wave circuits for transmit and receive paths including both active and passive components.

– Implement circuits using either advanced CMOS technology or high performance SiGe BiCMOS technology.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics or a relevant field and have:

– Experience in designing millimeter-wave integrated circuits using advanced CMOS technologies and/or SiGe BiCMOS in microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands.

– Experience of electromagnetic modelling of integrated inductors, transformers and transmission lines.

– Experience of using circuit design software, such as Cadence, ADS, GoldenGate, as well as EM simulators including HFSS, CST, etc.

– Some knowledge of baseband digital interface.

SALARY AND CONTRACT TERMS

The position will be initially filled for 1 year, renewable yearly with a possible extension up to 3 years. The expected starting salary for a Postdoctoral Researcher is $48,000/year. The contract includes fringe benefits such as dental and health insurance.
